How to Log In

  1. Go to your website (sitename.ku.edu or sitename.drupal.ku.edu if your site is under development)
  2. Click the KU Directory drop-down menu at the top of the page
  3. Click either the KU Users or Non-KU Users link at the bottom right of the menu that will appear.

NOTE: KU Users have a KU Online ID, Non-KU Users will have received an email with your user name and a temporary password from the site administrator.

  4. Login with your KU Online ID and password or your assigned user name and password if you are a Non-KU User.
  5. Once you have logged in a black toolbar and a grey shortcut toolbar will appear at the top of the page to allow you to manage your website.

KU IT will be making the following changes to your Drupal 7 website:

  1. The CMS login link will be moved to the footer. This single link will deliver both KU Users and Non-KU Users to a combined log in page. The new link location is more consistent with KU Sunflower.
  2. The KU Directory link and flyout tray will be replaced with a single link to KU A-Z in the upper right corner.

The rationale behind these changes is two-fold:

  1. The tray that opens when clicking the KU Directory has accessibility issues for users with limited vision and mobility.
  2. Google analytics have shown that the KU Directory link and the links that buried within were not receiving enough clicks to warrant their existence in the template.
